Clake Lake is a popular all sports lake located near the towns of Clark Lake and Brooklyn in Jackson County. The lakeshore has a heavy residental presence of middle and upper income homes. A marina and restaurant are present on Eagle Point, which nearly bisects the lake at the middle.
Public boat access is provided through county-owned public parks located at opposite ends of the lake (see following Google map). Ramp "A" is located at the Clark Lake County Park on Ocean Beach Road. Both ramps are unimproved, shallow gravel ramps, without support piers. In addition, there are no real set-up areas at either location and parking is very limited. Ramp A, is not recommneded for sailboat launching except for small daggarboard or cartop-carried boats. This is due to the shallowness of the ramp area and the presence of numerous anchored pontoon boats. Ramp "B", off of Hyde Road is unfortunatelly not much better, but may be able to accomodate small centerboard craft. There is a reported depth of 5 feet near the ramp, but this quickly shallows. Parking for cars/trailers for Ramp B is available approximately .1-.2 of a mile up the road in the parking lot of the Community Church (parking not available Sunday mornings).
The lake serves as the home waters to the Clark Lake Yacht Club, which is located on the south shore on the eastern half of the lake. This active club supports multiple one-design fleets (as well as the Adrian College Sailing Club) and holds an annual invitational regatta in late September. In addition, the club provides sailing instruction and a summer recreational regatta series. If you are considering visiting Clark Lake and wish to launch a sailboat larger than a Sunfish, you may want to contact the CLYC and inquire about guest use of their ramp.

Relatively narrow lake, but big enough for 8 to 19 foot sailboats. Some very nice homes along the lake. Yacht club is very friendly and sail-active.
