Notes: Whitmore Lake is boardered by the town of Whitmore Lake and straddles both Livingston and Washtenaw counties. A moderately sized public access ramp is indicated on the following Google map, while private/pay launching is available through a local marina. The lake has a modest to moderate sail presence, however powerboats predominate in the summer months. The public/DNR ramp is has adequate (but not abundant) room for sailboat set-up. Boats larger than mid-sized centerboard classes (i.e. >21') may encounter difficulty in both set-up and launch. Once on the lake, the water is relatively open, allowing for some nice reaching, however wind vectors will vary near the shores, typical for kettle lakes.

A small general purpose marina (Mac's) is located on the water off of mainstreet. There are several restaurants/pubs/ice cream stands in the immediate vaccinity of the lake
