Local and lake weather conditions and forcasts should be consulted.  The access point indicated on the following Google map is located within the Ottawa National Forest at the mouth of the Black River.

The ramp indicated below is at the Black River Habor (associated with the Black River National Forrest Campground (run by the U.S. National Forest Service). The ramp is reported to be associated with a public marina with the following amenities: water, electricity (20, 30A), restrooms, gasoline, pump-out, ice, long term parking, public phone , dog run, day use dockage, playground/park, and grills/picnic area. The marina offers transient and seasonal slips and can be reached at (906) 932-1330 (Early May to Late September) or on radio channel 16.
